The Work

Safety matters. As a powerful tool, developing and creating safe spaces in the workplace takes as much work as honing the skills for strategic planning, effective implementation, and ambitious goal setting. There is no one template that can used in all settings to create a feeling of safety.

The absence of safety can result in hidden barriers to people bringing their best selves to work. Nothing destroys goodwill, trust, and confidence like a shortage of safety within a team or in the workplace.

My approach to working with you involves creating and maintaining safe spaces, whether in a 1:1 coaching session, facilitating team meetings or designing all-staff experiences. This requires thoughtfulness, attention, flexibility, developing trust, goodwill, vulnerability, grace, and practice.

Together, we can transform stressful workplaces by creating safe spaces where people can bring their best selves to create rewarding and inspirational change.

Community Needs

A great lack of clarity exists in nonprofits and philanthropy. This is an opportunity to contribute my skills and experience to work with nonprofit leaders, boards, staff, donors, and funders in the community. Nonprofit and philanthropic organizations need good people. There is a dearth of supportive resources – people with the knowledge and proficiency to provide safe and supportive experiences for professional development while addressing the need for organizational capacity.

Over the years I’ve had the privilege of building trust in my voice and gaining valuable work experience in diverse settings. I offer the ability to help others develop their voices so that they can take action to increase their power and not make the same mistakes that I did along the way. Coaching

If you’re stuck and need someone to help you figure out what to do next, whether it’s looking for a new job or how to get unstuck in your current job or non-working situation, I provide a safe space for you to examine your professional career and life’s aspirations, and work with you to begin the steps needed to learn and grow. My supportive temperament and observational approach have helped individuals to greatly improve their work and life choices.

Career Development

Check in during the Job Search process to review resume and cover letter writing, job search strategies, and interview prep. Check in on your Job Performance for help clarifying job roles and responsibilities, identifying and addressing gaps between capacity, performance, and professional development. We will work on developing your voice and the skills needed for successful leadership growth

Life Transisitons

For those seeking clarity and action in life transitions, especially for those interested in change, we will work to identify important values and goals, how they are lived out in your life’s journey, and explore actions that better align with your needs and goals

Consulting

My inclusive approach and supportive temperament have helped organizations greatly improve their work culture and performance by exploring possibilities and asking questions that help bring about positive change. As an experienced executive director, development director, and board member, I provide consulting in planning, coaching, and facilitation.

For organizations in need of someone to help facilitate or design ways to address strategic planning, the gaps in capacity versus desired performance, or how to move forward in increasingly healthier ways, I provide the experience and expertise to evaluate and help make organizational change that better aligns with your group’s mission, values, and goals.

Fundraising, strategic planning, and capacity building

This includes evaluation, design and planning to build team capacity and strategic planning that aligns with top-level organizational missions and values.

Leadership for senior executives & board members

Whether working with an Executive Director, CEO, or Board members, I can help establish clarity, grounding, boundaries, and voice while also including relationship and capacity building. Together we can create implementation practices that reflect organizational mission and values.

Interim executive and/or fund development services

For interim leadership while your organization takes its time to regroup, I have experience serving in these kinds of roles.
